About Sophia Rae
Sophia Rae is an emerging singer-songwriter from New York's lower Hudson Valley, currently studying Popular Music Performance at USC Thornton School of Music. She began studying voice and guitar at age 13 and quickly fell in love with the craft of songwriting.
Sophia Rae writes soulful, penetrating music that evokes memory, insight, and emotional connection. Lyrically, her songs seem to emanate from an old soul despite her tender years, weaving stories that are profound, personal, and yet easily recognizable as archetypes of shared human experience.
Sophia Rae cites Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Bridgers and Elliott Smith among her favorite and most influential artists. Sophia Rae has performed at Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Feinstein’s/54 Below, The Haven, and local events in the New York Tri-state area. She is excited to bring her sound to the LA music scene.
