Sophia Rae is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, originally from New York's lower Hudson Valley. She is honing her craft in the Popular Music program at USC Thornton School of Music, a renowned incubator for today's top indie and pop talent. Recent alumni include Jensen McRae, MUNA, Remi Wolf, King Princess, NoSo, Trousdale, Rett Madison, and Saweetie. 

Sophia Rae’s music is infused with memory, insight, and emotional connection, weaving stories that are profound and personal, yet easily recognizable as shared experiences. She cites Joni Mitchell and Elliott Smith among her favorite and most influential artists.  

Sophia Rae was a featured performer at the LA Times 2022 Festival of Books, a cultural touchstone that draws 100,000 attendees annually. In the NYC metro area, she has performed at Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Feinstein’s/54 Below, and other music venues. Sophia Rae is excited to bring her sound to the LA music scene.
